PROMOVE’s Color of the Week: Teal
Teal has so many great uses. You can paint an entire room if you’re feeling daring (and it’s a rather large room), incorporate it with an area rug or throw pillow, or you can make it a focal point with an upholstered headboard or duvet. In other words, it’s completely versatile and adds character to whatever room it is in. According to Devoe Paint’s Color Psychology page, teal evokes feelings of trust; exudes optimism and impeccable taste. We couldn’t agree more.
PROMOVE’s Color of the Week: Red
Promove‘s last color of the week for 2009 (click here for all of the other 2009 colors) is the most passionate of colors- red. The designed Valentino said “red has guts… deep, strong, dramatic.” And according to About.com, red is a “bright, warm color that evokes strong emotions associated with love, warmth and comfort. Red is also considered an intense or even angry color that creates feelings of excitement or intensity.” I couldn’t help but think that this sounds like an excellent color for a kitchen, play room, or home gym.
PROMOVE’s Color of the Week: Light Green
This cool color of celery green has a very calming effect, which is why I featured it in my own kitchen/dining room. (More pictures after the jump.)
