Color of the Week: Kelly Green
Here are a few rooms with my favorite shade of green: KELLY!
While we’re a little late to make a St. Patrick’s Day reference, there’s never enough green in your life!

So what have we learned from this post? White and black are the perfect balance for kelly green (or at least the most popular) and this shade can fit in every room! Welcome, spring!
Apartment Trend Watch: Robin’s Egg Blue
We told you that blues and purples were going to be huge this year. We have been seeing a lot of robin’s egg blue and I have to say, it hasn’t gotten old. I love it with the dark blue, patterned and neutrals all mixed together.
Blue is calming, so naturally it’s perfect for bedrooms:
And I love the soft blue kitchen with the navy chandelier:
It’s also great in a home office or crafting space:
PROMOVE’s Color of the Week: Pink

Well, it was only a matter of time before we covered pink as our Color of the Week and with the onslaught of Valentine’s Day merchandise entering our lives, it seems appropriate. I, for one, have never used pink as a focal color in design but I have seen it done well (and not just in babies’ nurseries). According to About.com, pink is “essentially light red and is associated with love and romance.” You’re thinking, ‘Ok, tell me something I don’t know.’ Well, it may come as a surprise to know that when a person is initially exposed to the color, it has a calming effect. However, this effect usually reverses once the person has grown accustomed to the color. About.com also has an example with prisons using the color to calm inmates but saw that they became more agitated eventually. This must mean that it’s not a great bedroom color. It could be used an accent color or in a room that you don’t go into every day (to avoid the agitating effect). How have you used pink? We’d love to see your pictures!
