How To: Save Money (Daily)

Saving is often difficult because we’re not sure where to start. Here are some easy ideas you can implement in your life right away and get on the fast-track to spending less:
1) Buy what’s in season. And I’m not talking about booties or harem pants. When you grocery shop on a budget, it’s simple to get lots of veggies that are in season. Also try beans, rice, tomatoes, onions and fruit. They’re cheap and easy to use in a variety of ways!
2) Cut out the things you don’t need. Do you need to buy the new Xbox game? How about those $75 heels? Probably not. You want to save as much money as you can, and if that means watching all of your shows online instead of having cable, so be it.
3) If there are a million fast-food joints around your office, pack your lunch to resist the temptation. Not only is that going to save you $6 a day, it will save you from putting on your winter coat.
4) Make a budget. If you have trouble sticking to the plan, write reminders on post-its and put them on your fridge or in your car. If something comes up and you consider breaking the plan, try to wait a day before you revisit the idea. This will ensure you’re not spending money on frivolous things.
