Hotoberfest is to celebrate all things beer. Tasting is between 2pm-6pm on Saturday, October 2nd (1pm-6pm for VIPs- so special). There will be live music and TONS of family activities. Beer Garten tickets are $30 in advance or $40 at the gate, but the festival area is completely free! Hotoberfest will be held at Glenwood Park in East Atlanta. Hoppy Hotoberfest (you’re welcome for that poor excuse for a joke)!
Apartment Hunting in the East Atlanta Village
The East Atlanta Village is one of the most popular places to live with their affordable housing, farmer’s market, shopping and music venues. “It’s a very diverse neighborhood,” says East Atlanta Community Association (EACA) President Myron Polster, a 6-year resident of the neighborhood. “That’s probably one of its strengths. It’s very diverse, very tolerant. There’s kind of a wide assortment of different places and people and attitudes, so it’s really hard to come to the neighborhood and not find some sort of little niche you’d like” (Pulse of Progress, vol. 4. Issue 9. Sept 2008).
If you’re looking to move to the EAV, there are several things you can do to make your move easier. First of all, you can call PROMOVE in Atlanta. They’re dedicated to finding you the apartment that fits all of your requirements (and it’s FREE).
Secondly, you can check out the EAV community forum to see what is going on in the neighborhood. There are posts for lost & found pets, upcoming events and even a smaller version of Craigslist where neighbors are encouraged to buy, sell and barter with one another.
